Nature on the Move!

Michael Czarnecki and Steve Coffman return to the Indian Lake Library on September 21, 2011 with a poetry and creative writing workshop at 1 PM and a reading that night at the library at 7 PM.  Many thanks to P&W and the Friends of the Library for bringing new ideas and creativity to Indian Lake!  All are welcome; bring your stories, problems and successes to share

Programming for kids kicks off Tuesday following the 4th of July!  Join us on July 5, Tuesday at 11 am for Vinnie’s Play House!  We will read “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” and other stories, in preparation for the opera to be performed by the Seagle Music Colony at 10 AM at the Indian Lake Theater on July 12.

Vinnie’s Play House will alternate between the Library and the Theater

Wednesdays at 7 PM join us for One World Many Stories, Science and Nature Programs

Mondays at noon are for Puppet Theater in July

All programs are FREE and open to the public

The Friends of the Library will be holding their summer book sale on Saturday, July 9 at the SCHOOL from 10-2.  The school gym is a great space for the sale, and believe me, there are a lot of great books! (as always).  Time to help the Friends Set – Up (Friday before) or break down the sale after 2 on Saturday? Contact the library for more information!  Your help is always appreciated

The First End of School Book-Tea will be held at the library on Wednesday, June 22 from 11 am to 12:00 PM. Chat about fun books to read, your plans for the summer, using facebook and twitter for the library and other flights of fancy!

There is an opening on the Indian Lake Library Board of Trustees. Interested? The Board governs library policy and planning. Board members are appointed by the Town Board. Monthly meetings are usually the 3rd Wednesday at 4:30 PM. Stop by or drop a note for more information.

The Library Board meeting has been switched to Thursday, May 19 at 4:30 at the library. All are welcome
