Summer Programming Starts soon!

Remember, WI-FI is on 24/7.  When we are closed, use the gazebo outside!

Hours: Monday 12-4, 7-9; Tuesday 11-3, Wed 1-4, 7-9, Thurs closed, Friday 12-4, 7-9, Sat 10-1, Sunday closed

Programming  for everyone is on tap this summer.  Our schedule so far includes:

Summer Reading Program for Kids: Tuesdays starting July6, 11 AM, in partnership with the Indian Lake Theater,  Kids read a book watch a movie!  Reading and crafts at the library every other Tuesday with movie based on the book the following Tuesday at the theater .  Books and popcorn provided!  This program is free and open to all!

Tuesday, July 6, come to the library to read and discuss “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, by Roald Dahl at 11 am

Summer Reading Program for Kids: Wednesdays starting July 7, 7:00 PM. Sign ups begin  June 23 to begin weekly reading records.

Personal Memoir: a writing seminar- July 21, 1:30 PM.  Funded by the Friends of the Library, Hosted by the Indian Lake Library and the Writers Group- open to all writers or maybe writers. This event is free and open to all!

Book Signing with local author Pete Klein– July 21, 7 PM

August 4, 2010 we welcome Steve Coffman and Michael Czarnecki back to take our writing a step further with a workshop on moving from memoirs to 3rd person narrative.  This workshop will be offered at 1 PM at the library. That evening join us for a 7 PM reading.

We are pleased to include Kent Busman in our summer  lineup after receiving support from  Story Circle of the Capital District Community Storytelling Program Fund.  This will be an interactive, family story telling  program!  Learn to tell YOUR family stories on August 11, 2010 at 7 PM at the library.  This program is free and open to the public.

Ready for summer reading?

These sunny, warm days make us all yearn for a blanket by the lake and a good book! Make a Splash, Read programs featured every Wednesday at 7 PM beginning July 7, 2010.  These Summer Reading Program Programs feature naturalist Sandy Bureau. This event is made possible with public funds from the NYS Council on the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program. In Hamilton county, the Decentralization Program is administered by the Adirondack lakes Center for the Arts located in Blue Mountain Lake.

Summer Hours Start Memorial Day

We will be changing to “summer hours” on Tuesday, May26th. That means that we will once again have evening hours on Wednesdays.  We will be open on Wednesdays 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM.  In the meantime, please enjoy our gazebo with 24/7 Wifi!
