Straw Bale Gardening Basics – May 5th at 11am

Do you struggle with poor soil? Do you hate to weed? Do you  think you have no room to garden? Learn a way to garden that will help solve those problems! Come to the Indian Lake Library on Saturday May 5th 11-noon.  You’ll learn the benefits and how-to’s for starting a straw bale garden. Your new manager, Susan Rollings, will walk you through planning, prepping, and caring for a straw bale garden. Susan will demonstrate setting up the bale, explain the conditioning process, methods to planting in the bales, and ways to clean-up the bales at the end of the season in order to feed your garden for the following year. It’s been a long winter and spring…let’s kick off the growing season at the library! Please RSVP at the library or call 518-648-5444.
