There’s a great book sale and bake sale happening on August 6 – this Saturday and Sunday- from 10 am until 2 pm. Reflexology on Sunday as an added bonus! So, go to the Farmer’s Market in front of the school, stop at the library and check out the book sale at the town hall. Get there early to get the best goodies!

Summer programs continue
Next week, kids and their care givers are invited to the theater to see “Miracle” at 10 am on Tuesday as part of the library summer reading program. The “BFG” will be playing that night at 7:30! We didn’t finish our read aloud, but can’t wait to see the movie. The final Wednesday evening program will be held August 3, “On your mark, get set, SURVIVE!”, 7:00, all are welcome to collect their summer reading prizes.

A small meeting did occur on July 13 and word has it that a new and enthusiastic woman plans to join our ranks. We will look forward to getting to know her and seeing many of you at our next meeting.
***Keep in mind that our September meeting on the 14th will be a yearly opportunity to come together with our writing experts, Michael Czarnecki and Steve Coffman. Be prepared to share one of your favorite pieces with Michael and Steve. This has always been a pleasant and communal afternoon to enjoy with
all of our writing friends.

I hope everyone enjoyed the summer movie Tuesday at the theater! Wednesday, July 6, we will have another Summer Reading Program for children with Naturalist Sandy Bureau. It’s a great chance for kids to report on their reading and get a free book. Not enrolled yet? You can register anytime using the link to the right or pick up a reading log at the library. Think you are too old for summer reading?? Think again- big kids and adults can log 10 books and get a free ice cream!

Newsletter June, 2016 D. Bradley~ Hard to believe that as this month comes to a close half of our year will have passed. Our dedicated writers’ continue to attend and we continue to hope for an increase in attendees. That does not stop us from having a productive and entertaining meeting.
