Our library currently offers programs for children several ways:
Through elementary school visits from the Indian Lake Central School on a monthly basis.
In summer 2024 the library is offering 6 weeks of Summer Reading Programs during the months of July and August. The theme for 2024 is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” The library will have programming for 3 different age groups:
- “Bookworm Buddies Story Time Play Group” for Birth to about 5 years takes place Friday mornings 10:30- 11:15. Register here or drop by: https://forms.gle/tivKCnm5bKrpEeSp9

Snocade Story Time is held during the February winter break. Each story time is different throughout this week, and features a story or two, a craft or science activity, and movement activities. Best to refer to our calendar for times and descriptions: https://indianlake.sals.edu/calendar/
Our “Caldecott Medal Club” is an original, self-paced program where we challenge our young readers to read every award winning picture book that has won this coveted medal for Best Picture Book of the Year, going back to 1938! Once the list is completed, your child receives a certificate and own Caldecott Medal!
