Lose a book?

File under policies, but sometimes there is confusion when well meaning patrons replace a book that they lost or damaged with one they bought (usually at a significant discount)  The Indian Lake Library doesn’t charge overdue fines, but this is one area where we do request payment, not the book replacement.  The fine amount is based on the replacement cost plus processing, but we do our own purchasing. Questions? Ask the management!

Climate Program at the LIBRARY

We have moved our final program scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 6 PM to the Library due to equipment problems at the theater. PLACE, Public Libraries Advancing Community Engagement, invites you to a discussion of  “Odds Against Tomorrow” by Nathaniel Rich and ask our Guest Meteorologist, Steve DiRienzo, your questions about climate.

Final PLACE program Thursday November 9, 6 PM

Our NOAA meteorologist will take your questions as we discuss community strategies at the Indian Lake Theater. Sign up for this free program. Light snacks will be served to tide us over.
