The Worms Are Coming!!

Squirmy, wormy Storytime Plus at 11 am, enjoy stories and activities focused on the humble red wiggler.  “Composting with Worms 101″ at 12 pm.  Learn extraordinary worm facts and how to start your own worm composting system at home.  We will also enjoy some homemade “wormy” refreshments.  Presented by Miss Susan, committed vermiphile, on a mission to elevate the humble earthworm. Straw Bale Garden How-To’s

If you’ve ever struggled with Adirondack soil that doesn’t produce a lush vegetable garden, join us for an informative free workshop about straw bale gardening. Straw bale gardens are a great alternative to soil gardening. Learn about the benefits of SBG, and how to customize the process to your specific landscape.

The Library will offer the class two times:

Wednesday May 15, 7 – 8:30pm

Saturday May 18, 11am – 12:30pm

Attention Quilters and Crafters! We have a treasure trove of FREE books and patterns available for you to take home and keep!

We need to make room for new and exciting titles that are always arriving. We are offering a great selection that will inspire new craft projects in your life.

These titles will be available to look through anytime the library is open until Tuesday May 14th, when they will be given to the Friends of the Library for their bi-annual book & bake sales.
