Nancy Welsh will return on Tuesday, April 5 and from 10-12 to provide computer instruction at the library. Classes will meet each Tuesday in April. This class is a continuation of the “basic” computer class. All are welcome. Sign up before all the seats are taken!

It was a bittersweet farewell yesterday, as we wish Faye the best of luck in retirement! Donna will take command of the front desk along with Beth, and Faye left knowing things were in good hands… Many people showed keen interest in the library and we welcome the addition of new “substitutes” for our front desk –

Tax forms at the library
State and Federal tax forms are available at the library. The IRS and NYS provide forms and a limited number of instruction books for the most commonly used forms. If you can’t find the form you need, we can help you find them online as well. New forms and publications come in daily. Call ahead to see if we have what you need.

The Friends of the Library have announced their winter book sale! It will be held at the Town Hall on February 19, 2011 from 10-2. If you are around, your assistance is welcome- set up on Friday at 9am and Saturday 2:00 take-down. Let me know if you are available!

Information is available in ten languages in addition to English. Broad categories include General Unemployment Information, Claims and Eligibility Deadlines, and Information for Employers.
For those recently unemployed, the FAQ called “Before You Apply For Unemployment” is available at < http://www.labor.ny.gov/ui/claimantinfo/beforeyouapplyfaq.shtm > and a video “How to File an Unemployment Insurance Claim” can be viewed at < http://www.labor.ny.gov/ui/how_to_file_claim.shtm >.
