Introduction to Herbal Medicine @ Indian Lake Library

Herbalist Lise Fuller of Adirondack Herbals will visit the library Monday July 8th to discuss herbal medicine and her new book “Get Well, Be Well, Stay Well with Herbal Plants”.  Lise has been growing and harvesting plants and herbs for over 40 years. She apprenticed with Rosemary Gladstar of Sage Mountain School in S. Barre, Vt. and Gail Ulrich from Blazing Star School in Shelburne Falls, Mass. She studied with Christopher Hobbs, David Hoffmann , Dr. Tieronna Lowdog, Matthew Wood, 7Song and many other Herbalists over the years.  Lise attended Suny Adirondack College where she studied Botany and Nursing courses. She served on the Board of the North East Herbal Association for several years and worked on the NEHA newsletter committee.

Lise conducts many workshops in the Northeast including ones for Glens Falls Hospital and Mary McClellan Hospital. She taught about herbs at the Nursing Program, SUNY Adirondack College, Queensbury, NY, where she has a large Herbal Medicinal Garden.  Lise maintains an office at the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, NY where she offers Herbal Consultations and sells her herbal products and teach herbal classes.
