In 2023 the library is starting a monthly family program on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We are calling it Family Fun Hour. Each month will have activies built around a theme and the hour is meant to be a relaxing time for families to enjoy socializing while have fun hanging out at the library.
Each week we will have board games available to play, as well as our giant connect 4 game, and giant Jenga. In addition to those games, we will have a craft and other fun activities based on our monthly theme, like scavenger hunts or trivia. Parents, caregivers and kids are welcome to participate in whichever activites strike their fancy. Each week will have book giveaway raffles for all ages, and a take and make activity to bring home.
January 14th: Winter Time Play: Extra activities will include animal tracks scavenger hunt, polar bear painting and collage, and a story about winter animals.
February 11th: All Heart Edition: Extra activities will include having card supplies available for making Valentine’s cards, and other fun stuff.
March 11th: Lucky Day Edition: Extras will include a fun St. Patrick’s craft along with other activities.
